With the last wedding photos in the mail to clients, my wedding season is officially over for the year and things are beginning to calm down before the holidays. The first few cold days of winter are creeping in and my first instinct is to grab the biggest, softest blanket I can find and snuggle under it with a hot cup of tea and binge watch Parks and Recreation. However, tonight I had the urge, after months of being too swamped to update the blog, to finally sit myself down at my computer and write about all of the events and people I photographed over the past few months.
While most of my events this past season were memorializing new love, the kick-off of wedding season began by honoring old love--50 years of it!
On a beautiful day in June, Teresa and Luigi Piccininni gathered with their 4 children, 8 grandchildren, and many family members and close friends at the Colonia Country Club to renew their vows to each other. The evening was an excited and happy affair from start to finish as guests enjoyed dancing to the classics sung by an incredible live DJ while children raced around the dance floor laughing. Following the traditions of a wedding reception, Teresa and Luigi enjoyed their second "first dance", kissed in front of their wedding cake, and ended the evening with a slide show created by their children and grandchildren commemorating all of their happy years together. It was a beautiful evening and a great way to start off wedding season!
