Ilan and Rojika had originally planned to get married in a courthouse in Manhattan but after some convincing from their families, they opted to do something a little bit larger; 13 people larger to be exact.
After receiving a phone call on a Friday night, I found myself heading downtown the following Tuesday to photograph their elopement. Their ceremony took place on a private terrace overlooking downtown Manhattan on a hot but beautiful summer evening. Surrounded by only family, Ilan and Rojika kept everything simple and chic; she in a stylish short white dress by, with a bouquet made by her mother-in-law, and he in a sharp gray suit, sans tie. The laughter and smiles were longer than the vows and they finished the evening toasting with bottles of Dom Perignon and eating take out in front of the greatest skyline in the world.
