Even though Matthew and Janina legally got married in Japan 4 years ago, they still dreamt of having a small church wedding back in Matthew's home town in New Jersey. So much so that Janina bought a dress 3 years ago in anticipation of the elopement. Life got in the way of their plans though, as life typically does, and they were never able to find the time to plan their stateside elopement. But things work out for a reason and luckily I was able to be a part of this sweet and intimate day that ending up happening 3 years right on time.
Wearing a stunning blush gown, Janina was escorted down the aisle by her husband as the song that played when he proposed rang through the church. Matthew's parents participated in the ceremony by lighting single candles for the couple to light a unity candle with and Janina's parents, who live in Germany, were represented by two beautiful roses that were placed on the altar. After a lively and exuberant ceremony delivered by their pastor, Matthew and Janina's dream of a church wedding was finally a reality!
