Chelsea + James // Triumph Brewing Co- Princeton, NJ
Chelsea and James had one of the more unique weddings that I have been a part of so far and it is definitely one that I will never forget.
Chelsea and James were married at the Triumph Brewery in Princeton, NJ this past October on a gorgeous sunny afternoon. I arrived bright and early to the bridal suite at the Nassau Inn to find Chelsea and her bridesmaids enjoying some classic throwback punk tunes while finishing up their hair and makeup. No one seemed nervous and Chelsea looked excited and radiant as she put on her dress and final touches. Her beautiful BHLDN gown in an oatmeal color fit her like it was made for her and she beamed from the inside out as she read the heartfelt note given to her by James.
Keeping with their brewery theme, James had an incredible boutonniere made of hops from Viburnum Designs that I helped him put on before we went outside for their first look. With sunglasses on, James also mimicked the cool ease and calmness that Chelsea had. Neither of them had any jitters or doubts and their eagerness to start the day showed as they both saw each other for the first time.
From that point on, the day was a party! Bridal party in tow, we headed to Princeton University for portraits and the laughter could be heard across the campus. One big part of Chelsea and James's wedding day was to make sure that everyone had fun and it was 100% evident. As guests arrived at the brewery, they were greeted by tasting glasses filled with the brewery's beer and a Sorting Hat over the card box. Guests stood on the 2nd floor balcony watching the middle of the dance floor where the wedding ceremony took place. After the ceremony, Chelsea, James, and I snuck away to the brewing room to take a few photos alone before they hit the dance floor for the rest of the reception. Dance circles opened up, the bride's veil was passed around, and all of the attendees sang along to Metallica! The party only stopped one time, when the donut wall from Montclair Bread Company was put on display and guests all devoured the delicious treats.
Chelsea and James, I cannot begin to tell you how special it was to be a part of your engagement and wedding day. It truly felt more like I was a guest watching my friends get married then as a vendor. I am so humbled to have been able to capture this day for you both and I wish you the absolute best in married life! xoxo
